Application Performance Consultant
Job Description
Creative Data has
openings for Application Performance Management and Tuning Consultants.
Successful candidates will be architect or consultant level J2EE/Oracle or
.NET/SQL Server developers who desire a wide variety of challenges.
Demonstrable application performance tuning experience is required.
Knowledge of performance trade-offs is required.
Our Application
Performance practice is built around the Precise i3
suite of products. Our consultants must be able to install, configure, and
utilize the entire i3 suite. Prior experience with i3 or its predecessors,
Precise SQL and DB Tuner, is desirable but not required. Appropriate
product training and support will be provided.
Severe performance
problems effectively take down our customers' applications. That can
create a high-stress, time-critical working environment. Alternatively,
some customers take a proactive approach to application performance and
their projects can move glacially through the change control and approval
processes. Regardless, our projects operate in highly political
atmospheres so excellent customer management skills are required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as
presentation skills are required. Project Management skills are
desired. Technical selling experience is a plus.
75% travel, often
on short notice, is normal for most positions. A security clearance is
required for many positions. Prior consulting experience is a plus.
Experience with several of the following technologies is a
