What Does the Market Really Want?
Survey & Program Management

Client:
Market analysis organization

Business Challenges:
To standardize and automate the survey & program management process across different divisions and offices nationwide

To satisfy customer demand for faster access to more accurate market analysis

Technology Challenges:
To create an IT function in the organization

To establish an IT infrastructure

To replace manual operations with computerized survey rollout, collection, storage, management, etc.

To leverage and combine existing and new technologies, including:
• Macintosh clients
• Email
• Windows NT server
• SQL Server

Solution:
For this engagement, Creative Data served as a virtual IT CIO. The consultants helped the organization hire a network administrator, recommended a hardware configuration and co-location strategy, built a contact management/sales-tracking tool, and automated the designated business processes.

The new extranet solution enables users at web browsers on Macintosh systems to connect to the web server. At that point, users can enter and review interactions with vendors and customers, manage and track projects, and share surveys. They can also accept, collate, and give customers relevant program evaluations and status reports.

Benefits:
• Enables the company to standardize QA measurements, survey contents,
and product delivery
• Eliminates the error-prone and tedious process of a paper-based system
• Increases the consistency of survey contents and methods across divisions
to produce more meaningful results

FUTURE
The data-driven architecture of the solution makes it easy (and thus affordable) to extend the system’s capabilities. For example, the solution will allow remote parties to enter and run reports on the survey results themselves.
